Meet the rabbits that are permanent residents at our rescue
Sammy, Buckey, Sunny, & Babs
Netherland Dwarfs
Sammy is Dad to these three adorable Netherland dwarfs. They were rescued from a backyard breeder in St. Pete, Florida. Buckey had his incisors removed last year and does well without his front teeth. All are healthy and thriving. They have a very close bond. They were rescued from Southwest Florida House Rabbit Rescue.
Chocolate Chip & Muffin
Netherland Dwarfs
Chocolate Chip was rescued by East Coast Rabbit Rescue after being dumped in a park in Deerfield Beach. She is healthy and thriving. While she was in the rescue, she met her Husbun Muffin, he was also rescued by East coast Rabbit Rescue where he was found in a parking lot in the streets of Miami. Muffin is blind in one eye. The cause is unknown, what we do know is it does not slow him down one bit! Muffin is the most loving and playful bunny.
Little Bear, Pippa, & Little Pooh
Double Mane Lionheads
Little Pooh & Little Bear are more than likely littermates. All three were dumped together in a vacant lot amidst bobcats, coyotes, and loose dogs. Little Pooh was severely malnourished and very small for his age, at first believed to be a baby bunny, the vet determined he was at least 2 years old weighing just about one pound. His severe dental issues impacted his growth. Since being rescued he had his incisors removed and now eats like a champ! Pippa and Little Bear have been bonded and love each other dearly. All three were rescued by East Coast Rabbit Rescue and are healthy and thriving.

Eeyore & Teddy
Lop and Netherland Dwarf
Eeyore was rescued after being dumped in the street of Hallandale, FL. East Coast Rabbit rescue picked him up and had his mange treated. He is such a fun bunny with so much personality.
Eeyore met Teddy a Netherland dwarf at the rescue, they instantly became best buds.
Teddy was rescued from a local shelter after being dumped and neglected. He was battling a severe ear infection that was left untreated far too long. He is now healthy and thriving.
Licorice
Lop
Licorice is a more severe case, he spent the first 2 years of his life living in a filthy, tiny cage in someone’s backyard. Severely malnourished, after East Coast Rabbit rescue was tipped off that there were rabbits that needed help, they quickly did what they do best! Now Licorice is living his best life!
